Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up the integration
Navigate to Notification Settings
Go to Settings > Notifications in your WizStatus dashboard. Click on "Add Integration" and select Slack from the available options.
Tip
You can also add integrations directly from a monitor's settings page.
Authorize WizStatus
Click "Connect to Slack" to open the Slack authorization page. Sign in to your workspace if prompted, then review and approve the permissions WizStatus requires.
Warning
Make sure you have permission to install apps in your Slack workspace.
Select Notification Channel
Choose which Slack channel should receive alerts. You can select an existing channel or create a new one dedicated to monitoring alerts (recommended: #alerts or #monitoring).
Tip
Create a dedicated channel like #wizstatus-alerts to keep monitoring notifications organized.
Configure Alert Preferences
Customize which events trigger Slack notifications: downtime alerts, recovery notifications, SSL expiry warnings, and more. You can set different channels for different alert types.
Tip
Consider sending critical alerts to a separate channel with higher notification priority.
Test the Integration
Click "Send Test Alert" to verify the integration is working correctly. You should receive a test message in your selected Slack channel within seconds.
Tip
If you don't receive the test message, check that WizStatus has been added to the channel.
