Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up the integration
Generate Jira API Token
Go to Atlassian Account Settings > Security > Create and manage API tokens. Create a new token and copy it securely.
Tip
Use a service account for production to avoid issues when team members leave.
Configure Jira Integration in WizStatus
Go to Settings > Notifications > Add Integration > Jira. Enter your Jira instance URL, email, and API token.
Warning
Keep your API token secure - it provides access to your Jira instance.
Select Target Project
Choose the Jira project where incidents will be created. WizStatus will fetch available projects from your instance.
Tip
Create a dedicated project like "WizStatus Incidents" for better organization.
Map Issue Types and Fields
Configure how WizStatus incidents map to Jira issue types (Bug, Incident, Task). Set up custom field mappings for severity, monitor details, and more.
Tip
Map WizStatus severity levels to Jira priority to maintain consistency.
Test the Integration
Click "Test Connection" to verify your credentials, then "Create Test Issue" to ensure issues are created correctly in your project.
Tip
Check that the test issue appears in your Jira project with all expected fields.
